A fund raising event in aid of Cancer Research for children took place at Wavertree Sports Center, Liverpool, on Saturday 7th 2008. Many people took part in an effort to raise money via a selection of sponsored events some lasting 24 hours and more. I was privilaged to be invited to perform at this event and wrote a poem called "The One In Three" which is a poem about how cancer destroys so many families when it invites itself into their lives.
