I performed a poem called "No Respect" last week on the Billy Butler show, the poem is a powerful piece about gang culture. I understand that the BBC was inundated with requests to play the poem again on air and also to purchase it.

I am pleased to announce that this poem and a selection of others will be available for purchase and download very soon on this website. Watch this space.

I am pleased to announce that The Art Reach Shop is open.

Hi Laura.
You could not have written these words without some sort of association with the subject. Why is it that some people can rise above the abyss (like yourself}and others sink into and embrace it ? I come across youngsters who give off the impression that they are thugs but when I smile at them and appear to be amused by their antics they change their attitude and show the delightful side of themselves. All they need is for someone to take an interest in them, which I imagine no one has ever done. How sad. Who is the loser? They could be such a joy if given a chance.
Lovely to have heard your words.
Sincerely yours.

Laura,
Cannot wait to buy your poams, the No Respect poam should be played in every school in the country every day in assembly.
Nobody else should read it out it should be your voice.
OMG, the passion in your voice makes the poams, the words are fantastic. I am sure this is what most people want to say but could never do it the way you have. the impact it had on me was unbelieveable. This is how i feel and talk about this terrible situation but could never put it into them words but that is exacly how i feel and 99.9% of the country.
i can never come up with any solutions myself, i feel this poam would have the most impact on EVERYONE not just children.
I DONT NEED TO GO ON YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN YOU WROTE IT.

THANKS Ann
John

Laura, heard your poems on BBC today 12-9-08. These are the best and most powerful I have ever heard. I had to stop work and listen. I believe you could help spread the message to the youth and also older people with "No Respect"
You should get national coverage in a short time if you get to the right people .

"No Respect" would be brilliant with music and I bet it would sell, so go get some music. Have you heared Led Zeplin's "Kashmir"
done by Never the Bride.

I like "Never the Bride" cover version best. I've seen them doing this live twice.

I hope when your poems are available to buy, they are in audio and not text because you bring them to life with your own unique style.
Good luck

I first heard the poem no respect on the billy butler show and was totally drawn in by the delivery by Laura it was so sincere and real. Laura your poem is the most positive to the point message I have ever heard. This is what the kids need to hear. Your message of repect and worth is very touching and I just know anyone who hears or reads it will be gripped by your perseption of rightesous and also compassion of this way of life. I found it very moving the impact was fantastic well done I just know this will have big results.

This poem, and the way Laura reads it, is so powerful. Every Secondary school should invite her Laura to read it to their school - it is so thought-provoking.

I have to congratulate you on the poem itself ,but also for your rendition of it . The passion in your voice when reciting the poem, speaks volumes on such a worthy subject .

HI LAURA

YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SHOULD BE SO PROUD OF THE STAND THAT YOU ARE MAKING AGAINST ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR, THESE KIDS NEED SOMEONE TO TRY TO TALK TO THEM IN A LANGUAGE THEY CAN RELATE TO, I HAVE TWO GRANDCHILDREN JAMIE 7 AND LOLLY 13 I HOPE AND PRAY THEY WILL GROW UP WITH YOUR VALUES AND STAY AWAY FROM THE STEREO TYPES

WELL DONE
