Anti gang culture
Anti Gang Culture Banner

No Respect by Laura Walsh. I have written and performed a poem which illustrates some of the facts of current gang culture and have highlighted the futility of such behaviour and suggests an alternative path from a lifestyle of drugs and violence.

You can hear the poem  "No Respect" on line.

The poem is in .mp3 audio format with suitable background music.  Please ensure you have the facilities to download and play the full version this file prior to download, available at our artreach shop on this website:

Thanks
Laura Walsh

Hello Laura, I would like to thank you for the beautiful piece of poetry you read, (or should I say acted), out on the Billy Butler show on Friday? last. I know my emotions are raw after being not long widowed, but the tears were tripping me as I listened to you. I do of course always feel so sad when I hear of our troops being killed and maimed but your reading brought it to life for me and I only wish that it had reached a wider audience, perhaps it would make more people realise what our men are going through, and their families. Anyway keep up the good work, regards.

p.s. Obviously I am looking at the artreach website and have been trying to listen to La Machine and No Respect but have had no luck so I hope I am luckier with this email and thaat it reaches you O.K.
